Leading business law firm DWF has made five new appointments within its London insurance team and has also recruited leading regulatory specialist Hilary Ross as Head of Retail.

Hilary Ross is a highly respected regulatory expert and particularly noted for her expertise in health & safety, food law as well as marketing & advertising.

Previously a partner at Berwin Leighton Paisner and more recently Bond Pearce, Hilary is also the chair of the European Food Law Association of the UK and a member of the Health & Safety Lawyers’ Association.

The moved signifies DWF’s commitment to support its retail clients and brings experience not only from the retail industry but also food manufacturing, hotel & leisure and energy sectors.

With significant experience of handling professional indemnity, property insurance, coverage disputes and product liability claims, Rebecca Mills has joined the Commercial Insurance team from Barlow Lyde & Gilbert LLP.

Suzannah Boyd has also been recruited to the Commercial Insurance team. Formerly at K&L Gates, Suzannah will now specialise in construction, disputes, related professional indemnity claims and subrogated recovery actions in her new role.

DWF has also appointed Amanda Emberton and Gurbir Thethy to its Catastrophic Personal Injury team, as well as Louise Louch to its Casualty team.

Amanda joins from Plexus Law where she was a member of their catastrophic injury team. She is a qualified barrister who brings over 15 years of experience in defending catastrophic and large loss injury claims.

Gubir has joined from Vizards Wyeth and brings over 20 years of experience in motor, public and employers liability cases.

Louise has joined from Zurich where she was a Senior Claims Technician, where she specialised in fraud claims and fraud related strategy matters.
